My favourite carol
Here I leave you the carol we will sing in class next Friday. I like this cracking version of the song.
Congratulations

Merry Christmas
Next Friday we will have to answer a very easy quiz about Christmas. It could be interesting if you read some websites about Christmas traditions previously. The winner of the quiz will receive a sweet gift and a lot of congratulations. Try to get that honour by visiting these links that I include here:
Santa Claus' home
Christmas dinner in England
Christmas Day
Christmas cards
Christmas pudding
Christmas crackers
Christmas book

Nobel Laureates (2)
After filling the chart with your chosen laurate, it is time to write his or her biography. Remember several things:
-the verbs must be in past (3rd person singular)
-Narrate the events of his/her life in chronological order
-Don't forget to use time expressions like "in 1996" "when she was 18" "At the age of 35" "between 1990 and 2000"
-You could include a pair of nice pictures
-Use only words that you understand and know its meaning (cope and paste is not accepted in this writing)
You should share the writing with me (Google Docs)
Some of my students' good examples:
Susana's biography (Octavio Paz)
Itsasne's biography (Willis Eugene Lamb)
Maitane's biography (Otto Loewi)
What did you do yesterday?
Real English is not so easy. Listen to these interviews and try to understand what they did yesterday. Pay attention to the pronunciation of the regular verbs /t/, /d/ or /id/ (as we practiced in class). Don't desperate, it is a question of time, sure!
